We work with faculty to foster student success in goal and career attainment and value your partnership in the career development process. We offer services to help you integrate the career planning process into your curriculum through in-class presentations.
Career Servics partnership opportunities for faculty include:
- Provide classroom presentations
- Facilitate the connection between employer recruitment, industry partnerships, and student outcomes
- Connect the network of Applied Health Sciences alumni to engaged students
- Refer students to seek out career exploration assistance
- Provide data regarding student success and first destination outcomes
In-Class Presentation & "Don't Cancel THAT Class" Programs
The "Don't Cancel THAT Class" program is available to all faculty that would like to integrate career development into their curriculum in lieu of canceling class. By participating, AHS Career Services would facilitate a workshop that challenges students to think about career outcomes, career readiness, or introduces services to the services and offerings of the office. AHS Career Services is available to lead in-class presentations that outline the various resources available to assist students in taking ownership of their careers.
In Class Presentation Guidelines
We ask that all requests be made at least 2 WEEKS before the presentation date. Requests are taken in the order they are received. Due to various commitments and availability throughout the year, AHS Career Development may not be able to accommodate all requests.
Specialized 2020 Presentations
We can present on three specialized topics in addition to the standard Navigating Career Services Resources; Workplace Communication, Managing Your Digital Image, and Networking and Relationship Building.
We will rotate these topics every semester. Let us know if you have a specific request for a relevant topic and we will be happy to co-create a workshop to meet your needs.
