Student Research Opportunities
Hands-on opportunities to participate in health innovation
Undergraduate Research Symposium
Many students in the College of Applied Health Sciences thrive as a result of their research experiences as undergraduates.
Research in AHS addresses critical issues in Kinesiology and Community Health, Speech and Hearing Science, and Recreation, Sport and Tourism, including but not limited to: cultural and ethnic factors in obesity, diabetes, and other chronic diseases; the wide-ranging effects of exercise and physical activity; the impact of tinnitus, autism spectrum disorder, and aging on the development and loss of communication abilities; and the effects of cities’ investments in urban forestry on healthcare costs.
For more information about AHS research labs, you can visit your program’s research page or contact the Office of Undergraduate Research for undergraduate research opportunities throughout campus.
