Undergraduate Certificate in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences (I-Health)

The Certificate in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences (I-Health) is designed for undergraduate students in any major to examine today’s complex health issues from a variety of perspectives. Interdisciplinary Health Sciences emphasizes that the health needs of a diverse society are best served by individuals who possess interdisciplinary competence, and who are prepared to study and apply knowledge across traditional fields of knowledge.

Certificates are offered in one of three concentrations:

  • Health and Aging Concentration
  • Health Behavior Change
  • Health Diversity

Twelve credit hours are required. 

Any undergraduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign may apply for the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences (I-Health) Certificate upon completion of required courses and any prerequisites.
