Bethany Stapel

Bethany Stapel, MPH, CPHA

Bethany Stapel is the Assistant Public Health Administrator at the Macon County Health Department in Decatur, Illinois. She is a Certified Public Health Administrator through the Public Health Practitioner Certification Board, Inc.

Bethany completed both her bachelor's degree and her master's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She completed the Masters of Public Health program in 2014. Bethany has worked at a few different local health departments throughout Illinois in various roles working on projects around active lifestyles in school-age children, tobacco-free public places, west nile virus prevention, IPLAN (Illinois Project for Local Assessment of Needs), as well as being involved in the COVID-19 pandemic response in a variety of ways and areas. Bethany hopes to bring her experiences in the field to the classroom to help her students learn and grow as they prepare for their futures.
