My research interests focus on understanding the boundaries between deviant/normative leisure and the harm-benefit perceptions of risky leisure and the impacts of risky leisure on well-being and health. My research interests also include leisure and identity including and expanding beyond risky behaviors; to understand how our leisure pursuits impact our various identities, and oppositely how our identities inform our leisure pursuits. I would like to become a researcher and professor, as well as create innovative ways to bridge the gap between the academic community and the wider public.
