Faculty Profile

Sara L. Cole holds a BS and a MA from Central Michigan University. She also holds a PhD in Health Behavior from Indiana University.

Dr. Cole taught at Illinois State University (ISU), and is a faculty member at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). Dr. Cole received teaching awards at ISU for commitment to diversity and incorporating service learning into her classes, and earned a teamwork award at UCO.

Dr. Cole is a former Trustee and National Delegate of the Society for Public Health Education and currently serves on the board of the Foundation for the Advancement of Health Education. Dr. Cole is an Eta Sigma Gamma member, and installed the first chapter in the state of Oklahoma at UCO.

Sara’s service and research interests intersect in myriad ways via teaching, consulting, and philanthropic work. Regardless of the task, Dr. Cole brings passion and enthusiasm to all that she does.
