Robyn Gobin's book featured in Woman’s World Magazine
A new book from Kinesiology and Community Health assistant professor Robyn Gobin has attracted praise from Woman's World Magazine.
Gobin's book, entitled, The Self-Care Prescription: Powerful Solutions to Manage Stress, Reduce Anxiety, and Increase Wellbeing, was featured in the Aug. 5 edition of the magazine's Best New Books section.
The book draws on Gobin's research, clinical experiences, and the broader mental health literature, and shows readers how to experience more balance, clarity, and happiness by incorporating self-care into every area of life. Six domains of self-care are covered including physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and vocational self-care.
"My primary motivation for writing this book was to promote community health by helping as many people as possible learn concrete and sustainable ways to take better care of themselves—mind, body, and spirit," Gobin said.
The book is available on Amazon, as well as through Barnes & Noble, Target and Walmart.
Woman's World has a circulation of approximately 1.6 million readers, according to the magazine.
